this tune is from the playing of jim lansford, who probably got it from the recording by kenner "KC" kartchner. jim lansford was an ozark musician who played a huge range of instruments and styles with his wife kim and many other bands. john got to study with jim for several years in the early 2000s at the bethel fiddle camp in bethel MO. john now teaches jim's tunes at bethel, but we lost him in 2012. this was in cross A for jim and KC, but we don't usually crosstune, just mimic it from standard.
